National Blond Brownie Day - M&M Blonde Brownies



Ingredients

1/2 cup butter, softened
2 cups brown sugar
2 eggs
1 teaspoon vanilla
1 teaspoon salt
2 teaspoons baking powder
2 cups flour
1 1/2 cups M&M Candies

Directions

1. Beat the butter and brown sugar until creamy. Add the eggs and vanilla and beat again. Sift together the salt, baking powder, and flour. Slowly beat into the butter mixture. Stir in 1 cup of the M&M candies by hand.
2. Spread the batter in a greased 9x13 baking dish. Sprinkle the top with the extra 1/2 cup candies. Bake at 350 degrees for 23-25 minutes. Let cool completely before cutting into squares. Makes 24 bars. Store in a sealed container.

National Cheese Lovers Day - Cheesy Stuffed Garlic Butter Crescent Rolls



Ingredients

1 (8 oz.) can refrigerated crescent rolls
4 string cheeses, halved crosswise
2 Tablespoons butter, melted
1/2 teaspoon Italian seasoning
1 clove garlic, minced



Directions

1. Preheat oven to 375 degrees F. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
2. In a small bowl, combine melted butter with Italian seasoning and garlic.
3. Unroll crescent rolls and separate into triangles. Brush with garlic butter, reserving some to brush on tops of assembled rolls. Place halved string cheese at widest end, and roll up. Brush tops with more garlic butter.
4. Bake for 10 minutes, or until lightly browned. Serve warm.

National Cheese Lovers Day - Cheesy Pizza Dip



Ingredients

8 oz cream cheese, softened
1/2 teaspoon dried oregano
1/4 teaspoon dried basil
2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese, divided
1/2 cup grated cheddar cheese
1/4 cup fresh parmesan cheese
1 cup pizza sauce
pepperoni slice to taste
tortilla chips or 1 loaf of sourdough bread for serving

Directions

1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees
2. Mix cream cheese, oregano, basil, cheddar cheese and 3/4 cup mozzarella cheese
3. Spread into a pie pan or casserole dish. Top with cream cheese mixture with pizza sauce
4. Sprinkle remaining cheese followed by pepperoni
5. Bake 25 minutes or until bubbly and cheese is browned
5 serve with tortilla chips or chopped bread

National Buttercrunch day - Almond Buttercrunch Candy




Ingredients

1 cups slivered almonds
1/2 c butter
1/2 sugar
1 tablespoon light corn syrup

Directions

1. Line bottom and side of 9x9 pan or round pan with aluminum foil. butter foil heavily; set aside
2. combine almonds, butter, sugar and corn syrup in a 10 inch skillet. Bring to a boil over medium heat, stirring constantly.
3. Boil still stirring until mixture a rich golden brown, about 5-6 minutes.
4. Quickly spread on prepared pan.
5. Cool about 15 minutes or until firm. Remove from pan and remove from foil. Break into pieces make 3/4 pound

National Buttercrunch Day - Bacon Buttercrunch



Ingredients

1 cup bacon, cooked very crisp and crumbles. Reserve fat
8 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
2 cup sugar
2 tablespoons pure vanilla extract
1 1/2 teaspoons fine sea salt
1/4 cup water
13x18 rimmed sheet
Candy thermometer

Directions

1. Pour Bacon fat in a glass measuring cup. Add melted butter. You should have about 1 1/2 cup total set aside.
2. grease your baking sheet
3. In a medium sized heavy bottomed saucepan mix the bacon fat mixture with sugar, vanilla, salt and water. Bring to a boil over medium high heat. Clip the candy thermometer to the side of the an and cook for about 18 minutes or until thermometer reaches 300 degrees F 150 degrees C. stirring constantly
4. Remove from heat and add the bacon. Pour mixture onto the prepared baking sheet. Spread mixture evenly and allow it to cool completely
5. Store in an airtight container for 1 week use parchment paper between layers.

National Oatmeal Month - Baked Oatmeal Cups




Ingredients

2 eggs
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
2 cups unsweetened applesauce
1 tablespoon honey
2 1/2 cups rolled oats
1 tablespoon ground cinnamon
1 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
1 1/2 cups unsweetened almond milk

Directions

1. Combine eggs, vanilla, applesauce, almond milk and honey in a bowl. mix well and set aside
2. Combine oats, cinnamon and baking powder in a different bowl. Mix well and then add to the applesauce mixture. stir to combine.
3. scoop mixture into greased muffin tins and bake at 350 degree F for 26-30 minutes or until golden brown.

Philadelphia Quick Pasta Carbonara


Ingredients

1/2 lb. fettuccine, uncooked
4 slices bacon, cut into 1/2 inch pieces
1 (4oz. or 1/2 of 8 oz.) package cream cheese, cubed
1 cup frozen peas
3/4 cup milk
1/3 cup grated Parmesan Cheese
1/2 teaspoon garlic powder

Directions

1. Cook Pasta as directed on package, omitting salt.
2. Cook and stir bacon in large skillet until crisp. remove from skillet with slotted spoon, drain on paper towels. Discard all but 2 tablespoons of dripping from skillet.
3. Add remaining ingredients to reserved drippings; cook on low heat 3 to 5 minutes or until cream cheese is completely melted and mixture is well blended, stirring frequently
4. Drain Pasta; place in large bowl, add cream cheese sauce and bacon; mix lightly.

  • Quick Teriyaki Chicken Rice Bowl


    Ingredients

    1 lb. boneless skinless chicken breast, cut into bite size pieces
    salt and pepper

    For the Sauce:
    1/4 cup packed light brown sugar
    1/4 cup low sodium soy sauce
    2 tablespoons rice or apple cider vinegar
    1/2 teaspoon ground ginger
    2 cloves garlic minced
    1 tablespoon cornstarch

    Additional:
    Rice
    Steamed Broccoli


    Directions

    1. Cook rice according to instructions on package
    2. Steam broccoli
    3. Season chicken pieces with salt and pepper and place in large non stick skillet. Cook until done, stirring often.
    4. In a small bowl or a measuring cup, combine brown sugar, soy sauce, ginger, garlic, vinegar and cornstarch. Whisk together until there are no cornstarch lumps.
    5. Add sauce to chicken and cook stirring constantly, until thickens into shiny glaze
    6. remove from heat and serve immediately with rice and steamed broccoli

    Winnie the Pooh Day Craft and Snack




    Today is National Winnie the Pooh Day! Which means that it is Winnie the Pooh Birthday! Me and my children are going to be celebrating Winnie the Pooh Birthday by doing a craft and making a Winnie the Pooh craft after school. I wanted to share our craft and snack recipe that we have found it looks fun!



    With the craft all you will be needing is a paper plate, yellow paint, black pipe cleaners, black pom poms, small black pom poms, glue  and yellow pom poms.

    To assemble this craft all you have todo is paint your paper plate yellow and let it dry. after it has dried glue on one black pom pom in the middle of the plate. Then glue on 2 small black pom pom for the eyes. Then cut 2 small pieces of black pipe cleaners for the eye brows and glue them above yours eye (small black pom poms). Then take one medium black pipe cleaner and bend both ends and glue it on the plate for the smile. Then take your yellow pom poms and glue them on top of your paper plate for pooh's ears.


    For our afternoon snack we are making Winnie the Pooh Sweet Honeycomb Treat

    Ingredients

    Butter
    Marshmallows
    Honeycomb Cereal


    Directions

    1. For Thin Cereal Bars use a 9x13 pan or for a normal thickness us a 8x8 or 9x9 pan.
    2. For thicker cereal bars in square pan (8x8 or 9x9) use 3T Butter, 4 cups mini marshmallows and 6 cups of cereal.
    3. for thinner bars (9x13) use 1/4 c butter, 5-6 cups mini marshmallows and 8 cups cereal
    4. Grease your pan with some butter
    5. melt your butter in a pot on low heat with marshmallows stirring frequently.
    6. Once gooey and melty, stir in the cereal until it all mixed together well.
    7. Spread the mixture into the greased pan and smooth down as best you can.

    Creamy Ritz Chicken Casserole


    Ingredients

    3 cups cooked chicken breasts, shredded
    1 (10.75 oz.) can cream of chicken soup
    1 cup sour cream
    1/2 cup or 1 stick unsalted butter, melted
    1 sleeve Ritz crackers, crushed
    2 teaspoons Italian seasoning
    1/2 teaspoon paprika, garnish
    1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes
    kosher salt and freshly ground pepper, to taste

    Directions

    1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees and lightly grease a 8x8 inch baking dish with butter or non stick spray.
    2. Combine soup and sour cream in a large bowl, then stir in shredded chicken.
    3. Season generously with salt and pepper, and stir in Italian seasoning, paprika and red pepper flakes.
    4. Pour Mixture into greased baking dish, then top with crushed ritz crackers.
    5. Evenly pour melted butter over the crushed crackers, then place baking dish in oven. Bake for 25-30 minutes or until dish is heated through and crackers are golden brown.
    6. remove from oven and let cool 5 minutes.

    Greek Yogurt Cinnamon Swirl Banana Bread




    Ingredients

    1 1/2 cups flour
    4 medium size ripe bananas, smashed
    1/2 cup brown sugar
    1 egg
    1 tsp vanilla
    1 tsp baking sod
    1/2 cup plain Greek yogurt
    1/3 cup sugar
    1 TBSP ground Cinnamon

    Directions


    1.Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Grease a 9 in loaf pan.
    2. In a mixing bowl, beat brown sugar and smashed bananas. Add in egg, vanilla, and Greek yogurt. Mix until combined.
    3. Add in flour and baking soda and mix until just combined.
    4. In a small bowl, mix together sugar and cinnamon.
    5. Spread 1/2 of the batter into pan. Sprinkle with 1/2 of the cinnamon sugar mixture, then, spread remaining batter on top.
    6. Sprinkle top of batter with remaining cinnamon sugar mixture.
    7. Bake for 40-45 minutes or until toothpick inserted comes out clean.
    8. Let bread sit in pan for 5 minutes before removing.
    9. Cool completely on wire rack.

    Ingredients

    6 boneless, skinless chicken breasts, diced
    1 cup mayonnaise or plain Greek yogurt
    1 cup fresh shredded parmesan cheese
    1 teaspoon seasoned salt
    1/2 teaspoon ground black pepper
    1 teaspoon garlic powder

    Directions

    1. Place diced chicken into a greased 9x13 baking dish.
    2. In a small bowl, combine the mayo/yogurt, 3/4 cup parmesan cheese, salt, pepper and garlic powder.
    3. Spread mixture evenly on top of chicken.
    4. Sprinkle remaining 1/4 cup parmesan cheese on top of mayo mixture
    5. place dish in preheated oven, 375 degrees and bake for 30-35 minutes
    6. remove from oven and serve chicken over rice, pasta or by itself

    2 lbs. chicken thighs, bone in and skin on
    1 (8 oz.) cream cheese, room temp cut in cubes

    1 package ranch dressing mix
    chives for garnish
    4 slices bacon, cooked and crumbled for garnish

    Directions

    1. Lay the chicken in the crockpot
    2. Pour in the chicken broth
    3. sprinkle on the ranch dressing mix powder
    4. Top with cubes of cream cheese
    5. Cook on high 4 hours stir every hour
    6. Remove from sauce and shred chicken discarding skin and bones
    7. pour sauce over chicken and top with chives and bacon crumble

    Ingredients

    2 lbs. boneless skinless chicken breasts
    salt and pepper
    1 cup of honey
    1 cup low sodium soy sauce
    1/2 cup ketchup
    4 tablespoons vegetable oil
    2 cloves minced garlic ( or 1 teaspoon minced garlic in oil)
    1/2 cup diced onion
    1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes

    Directions

    1. Trim your chicken breasts, sprinkle with salt and pepper and place them in your slow cooker.
    2. In a medium bowl, add the honey, soy sauce, ketchup, oil, garlic, onion and red pepper flakes. Stir to combine. Pour over the chicken in the slow cooker
    3. cook on low for 3-4 hours or high on 1 1/2 to 2 1/2 hours
    4. When done, remove chicken from crock pot and cut into chunks

    Ingredients

    5 bone in pork chops
    1 tablespoon oil
    1 cup sour cream
    1 (10 3/4 oz.) can cream of chicken condensed soup
    1/2 cup milk
    32 oz. package of frozen hash browns
    1 cup onion chopped
    1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
    1/2 teaspoon salt
    1/4 teaspoon pepper

    Directions

    1. Brown the pork chops on both sides in the oil in a pan.
    2. combine all other ingredients (hash brown last) and spread in a ungreased 9x13 glass dish
    3. Top with pork chops
    4. Bake uncovered at 275 degrees for 45-50 or until heated through and the pork chops are fully cooked.

    Ingredients

    2 (12 oz.) cans cinnamon rolls, cut into quarters
    4 eggs
    1/2 cup heavy whipping cream
    4 tablespoons maple syrup
    2 teaspoons vanilla
    1 teaspoon cinnamon
    1 teaspoon nutmeg

    Directions

    1. Spray the inside of your crock pot dish with nonstick cooking spray 
    2. Place a layer of cinnamon roll pieces to completely cover the bottom of your slow cooker. set aside the icing packets
    3. beat eggs in a small bowl
    4. Mix together the heavy cream, maple syrup, vanilla and spices until blended well; add to the eggs and mix together.
    5. Pour entire mixture evenly over the layer of cinnamon rolls in the slow cooker.
    6. spread the remaining cinnamon roll pieces evenly over the top and squeeze - spoon on packet of icing over rolls.
    7. cover ad cook on low for 2.5 hours or until sides are golden and rolls are set.
    8. switch heat setting to warm.
    9. drizzle remaining icing packet over top and serve warm.

    2.5 lbs medium russet potatoes, peeled and chopped

      1 cup of ranch salad dressing
      5 slices of bacon, uncooked

      2. Spread ranch dressing over the chicken.
      3. Place the bacon over each chicken and ranch dressing.
      4. Cook on high for 2 to 3 hours.

      1 (16 oz.) package uncooked rotini pasta
      1 (25 oz.) jar marinara sauce
      3 cups water
      1 (14 oz.) package fully cooked miniature cocktail size meatballs (if frozen make sure they are completely thawed
      2 cups shredded mozzarella or Italian blend cheese
      Optional: Parmesan cheese and fresh chopped herbs (such as basil, oregano, and parsley) for garnish

      Directions

      1. Preheat oven to 425 degrees
      2. In a large baking dish, stir together uncooked pasta, marinara sauce, water and meatballs.
      3. Cover tightly with aluminum foil and bake for 30 minutes
      4. uncover and stir
      5. Sprinkle mozzarella over the tome and bake uncovered for 10 minutes or until cheese is melted and pasta is tender

        Ingredients

        4-5 boneless skinless chicken breasts
        6 strips of bacon cooked and crumbled
        2 cans cream of chicken soup
        2 cups shredded Monterrey Jack Cheese
        1 box (16 oz.) dried spiral pasta
        1 Tablespoon garlic powder
        salt and pepper to taste

        Directions

        1. Cook, crumble back and sit aside.
        2. While bacon is cooking cut chicken into bite sized chucks. cook chicken in bacon drippings.
        3. add garlic powder and salt and pepper to taste.
        4. While chicken is cooking, prepare pasta according to directions.
        5. spray a 9x13 baking pan with non stick cooking spray. preheat oven to 400 degrees.
        6. Drain pasta, and return to pot. add chicken, both cans of cream of chicken soup, 1 cup monterrey jack cheese stir to mix well. Pour into prepared baking dish.
        7. Top with crumbled bacon. Then top with remaining cup of monterrey jack cheese.
        8. Bake 400 degrees for about 20 minutes just until cheese is melted and beginning to brown on top

        4 boneless skinless chicken breasts, thawed
        1 cup real mayonnaise
        1 cup shredded parmesan cheese

        Optional - 1 tsp fresh squeezed lemon juice
        Optional - pinch of salt

        Directions

        1. Add chicken to Crock Pot.
        . 2. Cook on high for 3 hours or on low for 6 hours. after cooking drain juices.
        3. In small mixing bowl combine butter, mayo, parmesan, garlic, oregano, basil and salt and stir well. Pour mixture over chicken.
        4. cook on high for 30 minutes until cooked.

        1 (32 oz.) bag of hash browns, defrosted
        1 small onion, diced
        1 1/2 cups grated cheddar cheese

        2. Pour cream of chicken soup over mixture and stir.
        3. Cover and cook on high for 3 hours or until potatoes are soft and sausage is hot. serve.

        8 ounces Spaghetti
        1-1/4 pounds lean ground beef
        1 (1 oz.) package taco seasoning
        2/3 cup water
        1 can (10.75 oz.) cream of chicken soup
        1 can (10 oz.) can Rotel diced tomatoes with green chilies, undrained
        1 (8 oz.) package velveeta cheese, cubed
        1-1/2 cups shredded cheddar cheese

        Directions

        1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees. lightly spray a 9x9 inch pan with cooking spray. set aside
        2. Cook pasta according to package directions. drain. set aside
        3. In a large skillet cook ground beef over medium high heat until no longer pink. drain fat. return meat to skillet. add taco seasoning and water. stir to combine. cook for 5 minutes.
        4. Stir in soup, velveeta and rotel tomatoes. Reduce heat to low and cook until the cheese melts, stirring constantly.
        5. Stir in cooked spaghetti and pour into prepared dish. Top with cheese.

        2 cans crescent rolls
        2 (8 oz.) packages cream cheese
        1 cup sugar
        1 teaspoon vanilla extract
        1egg
        1 egg white

        Glaze

        1/2 cup powdered sugar
        2 Tablespoon milk
        1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract

        Instructions

        1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Grease a 13x9 inch backing pan.
        2. Lay one pack of crescent rolls in the pan and pinch the openings together.
        3. Beat the cream cheese, vanilla, sugar and egg together until smooth. Spread the mixture over the crescent rolls evenly.
        4. Then place the 2nd package of crescent rolls over top of the mixture.
        5. Bake 35-45 minutes until the top is golden brown
        6. To make glaze mix together the glaze ingredients and top on cheese Danish after it has cooled for 20 minutes.

        Crockpot Cinnamon Roll Oatmeal


        Ingredients

        2 cups Oats
        2 eggs, beaten
        3 cups milk
        1/2 cup sugar
        2 tbsp. baking mix or all purpose flour
        1 tsp cinnamon
        1 tsp Cinnamon
        1 tsp Vanilla

        Glaze

        1 cup powdered sugar
        1-2 tbsp. milk
        1/4 tsp vanilla extract


        Directions

        1. In a 4 quart crockpot mix all your ingredients.
        2. set crockpot on high for 2 hours or low for 4 hours
        3.When done remove lid and scoop oatmeal into bowls drizzle with glaze and serve.
