National Blond Brownie Day - M&M Blonde Brownies



Ingredients

1/2 cup butter, softened
2 cups brown sugar
2 eggs
1 teaspoon vanilla
1 teaspoon salt
2 teaspoons baking powder
2 cups flour
1 1/2 cups M&M Candies

Directions

1. Beat the butter and brown sugar until creamy. Add the eggs and vanilla and beat again. Sift together the salt, baking powder, and flour. Slowly beat into the butter mixture. Stir in 1 cup of the M&M candies by hand.
2. Spread the batter in a greased 9x13 baking dish. Sprinkle the top with the extra 1/2 cup candies. Bake at 350 degrees for 23-25 minutes. Let cool completely before cutting into squares. Makes 24 bars. Store in a sealed container.

National Cheese Lovers Day - Cheesy Stuffed Garlic Butter Crescent Rolls



Ingredients

1 (8 oz.) can refrigerated crescent rolls
4 string cheeses, halved crosswise
2 Tablespoons butter, melted
1/2 teaspoon Italian seasoning
1 clove garlic, minced



Directions

1. Preheat oven to 375 degrees F. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
2. In a small bowl, combine melted butter with Italian seasoning and garlic.
3. Unroll crescent rolls and separate into triangles. Brush with garlic butter, reserving some to brush on tops of assembled rolls. Place halved string cheese at widest end, and roll up. Brush tops with more garlic butter.
4. Bake for 10 minutes, or until lightly browned. Serve warm.

National Cheese Lovers Day - Cheesy Pizza Dip



Ingredients

8 oz cream cheese, softened
1/2 teaspoon dried oregano
1/4 teaspoon dried basil
2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese, divided
1/2 cup grated cheddar cheese
1/4 cup fresh parmesan cheese
1 cup pizza sauce
pepperoni slice to taste
tortilla chips or 1 loaf of sourdough bread for serving

Directions

1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees
2. Mix cream cheese, oregano, basil, cheddar cheese and 3/4 cup mozzarella cheese
3. Spread into a pie pan or casserole dish. Top with cream cheese mixture with pizza sauce
4. Sprinkle remaining cheese followed by pepperoni
5. Bake 25 minutes or until bubbly and cheese is browned
5 serve with tortilla chips or chopped bread

National Buttercrunch day - Almond Buttercrunch Candy




Ingredients

1 cups slivered almonds
1/2 c butter
1/2 sugar
1 tablespoon light corn syrup

Directions

1. Line bottom and side of 9x9 pan or round pan with aluminum foil. butter foil heavily; set aside
2. combine almonds, butter, sugar and corn syrup in a 10 inch skillet. Bring to a boil over medium heat, stirring constantly.
3. Boil still stirring until mixture a rich golden brown, about 5-6 minutes.
4. Quickly spread on prepared pan.
5. Cool about 15 minutes or until firm. Remove from pan and remove from foil. Break into pieces make 3/4 pound

National Buttercrunch Day - Bacon Buttercrunch



Ingredients

1 cup bacon, cooked very crisp and crumbles. Reserve fat
8 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
2 cup sugar
2 tablespoons pure vanilla extract
1 1/2 teaspoons fine sea salt
1/4 cup water
13x18 rimmed sheet
Candy thermometer

Directions

1. Pour Bacon fat in a glass measuring cup. Add melted butter. You should have about 1 1/2 cup total set aside.
2. grease your baking sheet
3. In a medium sized heavy bottomed saucepan mix the bacon fat mixture with sugar, vanilla, salt and water. Bring to a boil over medium high heat. Clip the candy thermometer to the side of the an and cook for about 18 minutes or until thermometer reaches 300 degrees F 150 degrees C. stirring constantly
4. Remove from heat and add the bacon. Pour mixture onto the prepared baking sheet. Spread mixture evenly and allow it to cool completely
5. Store in an airtight container for 1 week use parchment paper between layers.

National Oatmeal Month - Baked Oatmeal Cups




Ingredients

2 eggs
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
2 cups unsweetened applesauce
1 tablespoon honey
2 1/2 cups rolled oats
1 tablespoon ground cinnamon
1 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
1 1/2 cups unsweetened almond milk

Directions

1. Combine eggs, vanilla, applesauce, almond milk and honey in a bowl. mix well and set aside
2. Combine oats, cinnamon and baking powder in a different bowl. Mix well and then add to the applesauce mixture. stir to combine.
3. scoop mixture into greased muffin tins and bake at 350 degree F for 26-30 minutes or until golden brown.

Philadelphia Quick Pasta Carbonara


Ingredients

1/2 lb. fettuccine, uncooked
4 slices bacon, cut into 1/2 inch pieces
1 (4oz. or 1/2 of 8 oz.) package cream cheese, cubed
1 cup frozen peas
3/4 cup milk
1/3 cup grated Parmesan Cheese
1/2 teaspoon garlic powder

Directions

1. Cook Pasta as directed on package, omitting salt.
2. Cook and stir bacon in large skillet until crisp. remove from skillet with slotted spoon, drain on paper towels. Discard all but 2 tablespoons of dripping from skillet.
3. Add remaining ingredients to reserved drippings; cook on low heat 3 to 5 minutes or until cream cheese is completely melted and mixture is well blended, stirring frequently
4. Drain Pasta; place in large bowl, add cream cheese sauce and bacon; mix lightly.
